Dining in Birmingham

Dining in Birmingham is what you make of it - there are options to suit every palate and budget.

Picture: The Conservatoire is located in the heart of the city
The Conservatoire is located in the heart of the city, so nearby coffee and sandwich shops are plentiful, as are reasonably-priced restaurants and cafes. Several fine dining options are also available, most within a few miles of the Conservatoire - a short taxi ride or bus trip away.

From Polish to Jamaican, owing to its increasingly multicultural nature, you can now enjoy just about any kind of food in Birmingham. Amongst the many city neighbourhoods offering excellent ethnic cuisine, Birmingham's 'Balti triangle' in Sparkbrook (dozens of curry houses packed into just a few streets) and Chinese Quarter are two more famous examples.

The Conservatoire itself has a refectory, which serves hot and cold food at main mealtimes and a variety of drinks and snacks throughout the day, including Costa coffee. A separate coffee bar on the ground floor serves hot and cold drinks and snacks during large events and concerts. More information about opening hours will be available to delegates nearer the time.

The Visit Birmingham website offers excellent advice on eating and drinking in Birmingham.
