Attend a Concert

As much as it is an important networking event for musicians, IDRS 2009 is a public celebration of the uniquely beautiful sound of double reed instruments and the music written for them.

The Conference will be packed with celebrity concerts, recitals, masterclasses and workshops, but due to space restrictions, many events will be open only to delegates. (Want to see it all? To find out how to register, visit our delegates section. Alternatively, why not volunteer?)

However, there will be at least two public gala concerts as part of IDRS 2009: one in Birmingham's Town Hall, and one in Symphony Hall presented by the CBSO. Both will feature leading international artists, giving IDRS 2009 delegates and the public alike the chance to hear world premiere performances given in some of Europe's most highly-acclaimed concert halls.

There may also be tickets for smaller events available to the public at short notice or via waiting lists, but we cannot confirm this until the Conference schedule is set, so keep checking back for information as IDRS 2009 draws nearer...

We hope to see you at a concert!
